Music Producer "True Blu" shot and killed by gunmen


Popular music producer Tru Blue was reportedly shot and killed by gunmen on Friday night.


The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit says a police team responded to reports of gunfire and found Tru Blue, whose real name is Ralston Wellington, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Relatives say the producer, was killed along Maxfield Avenue in St Andrew.

Since his death, a video posted on social media showing Wellington cursing at an entertainer has gone viral.

However, police investigators say they were unable to determine whether his death is linked to the release of the video.

After an extended hiatus from the music industry, True Blue recently produced “Whine Yuh Waist Suh” featuring Vybz Kartel and England based recording artiste Don Andre.
