“Rumours of War” - Review Moses Henry feat. Emrand Henry
Jah Light Records (release date: June 2nd 2017)
Available on Amazon.com, Itunes, etc.
Moses and Emrand Henry set Matthew 24:6 (“ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars”) to an infectious rock steady beat as they shake their heads about how the Biblical writer could easily have been talking about today.
They declare that those responsible for the “world gone mad” and who are “pilin’ the dead” “don’t want Jesus be a part of their life.” Their blend of roots and electronica on “Rumours of War” calls for a global turning of hearts to the light. A sound message for today and in line with reggae's historical commitment to social commentary.
Born in 1981 in St. Mary's Village, Moruga, Moses Henry began singing gospel more than a decade ago. He migrated to Tobago at the age of 17 and has performed in the Reggae Gospel style ever since.
