Popular and Well know Jamaican DJ Mighty Mike from Irie FM was found dead at his home this afternoon. (July 5th 2012)


Cause of death is still unknown

Reports are that the veteran radioman was supposed to have worked the 6:00 pm shift but did not turn up for work. Repeated calls to his cell phone went unanswered, after which a member of staff, fellow disc jockey DJ Amber, was dispatched to Mighty Mike’s house.

All evidence pointed to the fact that the disc jock was inside the house but he did not respond to constant shouts or knocks on his door.

“They had to get a locksmith to break into the house, and when they reached inside they found him dead,” one source said.

Early reports are that apparently Mighty Mike took sick at home, as there were signs of vomit in the house, and was unable to call for help.

The disc jock, who was said to be in his fifties, was reportedly diabetic.
