Mavado made donation of $150,000 GYD to Joshua's House
Mavado was schedule to perform on the ‘Slingerz Caribbean Summer Jam’ on August 17th in Guyana, but after a break down between him and the promoters he decided not to take the stage even thou he was in the country.
Mavado and his management team then decided that as a show of appreciation to his fans and the Guyanese people they were going to put on a concert at the Guyana’s National Stadium. The first five hundred (500) patrons who attended the show were allowed to enter the venue free of cost.
Reports reaching dancehall reggae world are that there were over 3000 patrons inside the Guyana National Stadium. “For a show which was only put together and promoted in one day, it was a major success”, Said one patron.
On Tuesday August 20th, Mavado made a donation of $150,000 GYD from proceeds from the concert to Joshua's House. This is a Children's home in Guyana.
