In today’s crowded market, newcomers are tasked with bringing a fresh, flavoursome, and fierce delivery, enough to cut into the consciousness of the masses.
Jamaican starlet Marcy Chin is not only well-acquainted with this memo, she’s the embodiment of it.
The fast rising prodigy has amped up the buzz locally with her smashing new track “Ride.”
Produced by Kunley from Ward 21 on his Billionaire Bootcamp Records, the song made its way to retailers in early August via Zojak World Wide. The accompanying video for the track was released shortly thereafter to rave reviews.
As the title suggests, “Ride” is a raunchy hardcore dancehall track with a blend of 90's dancehall flow with a more modern sonic twist. No wonder this song is already a crowd favourite; it is playful, it is sexy and it is on its way to becoming a massive hit.
“People have been really receptive to this song. They seem to be feeling that good ol' dancehall vibe they get from it. They really are welcoming to this sound and vibe in to their space,” expressed Marcy Chin
The two have been working together for some time now and have found the perfect formula for success.
Kunly says, “Roughly five years we have been developing and moulding our sound. The music is the main ingredient in our life's mission.”
But let’s get it straight though, Marcy Chin isn't to be placed in the perennial "dancehall artiste" box. She is much more than a voice in the dancehall genre and is too multifaceted and versatile to be limited to said "box". Marcy Chin is a Jamaican artiste! The same can be said for "Kunley Da Kulprit."
This isn’t it for the two, as they a busying themselves for the next big hit.
