Kamau Productions Company

Kamau Productions is a team of musicians and producers ( Chabin, ‘Nashi’ and ‘Bless X’) that synchronizes the best of house, pop, dance and reggae all under one roof without sacrificing the integrity of any particular genre.

Formed in 2010, this music group focuses on ensuring the best in music quality and production by blending different styles and sounds while at the same time, constantly making strides to taking the ever changing world of music to new heights.

Using a Caribbean influence, Kamau Productions has tailored a sound that captures the essence of the contemporary popular music scene, customizing the basic ‘Four-on-the-floor’ dance beats and redesigning that format to create the innovative sounds that the label puts The talented prodigy Christian-Olivier "CHABIN" Muller-Poitevien was born October 9th, 1989 in Tampa, Florida.

He moved to Port-au-Prince Haiti at an early age where he was raised for 15 years. Chabin always had an ear for music, whether it was in the courtyard during lunch period at school or in class and was always known for creating some kind of beat. He had no idea though, that his passion would be destiny as his career path and early infatuation for music In 2004, Chabin left Haiti due to ongoing political problems and moved to Miami. It was not until his college years however, after flowing on a dance House mix, that Chabin discovered his talent and real love for music. The experience inspired him to pursue music and since that day,  Chabin has been working on further improving his song writing skills, his singing ability (voice training), as well as his ‘‘flow’’, harmonizing to perfect his already original sound from his diverse cultural influences.

Chabin epitomizes an original eclectic floetry, whilst some have likened him to international superstars such as Sean Paul, Pitbull and Flo Rida.

Later on in 2007, after performing at a Florida Atlantic University Carnival show, Chabin met with ‘Nashi’ (from the island of Jamaica), who was impressed by his lyrical content and delivery. Ever since then, they have been working together in the Kamau Productions studio anticipating hit-making with collaborations and new singles. The duo released their first single "Island Girls" which was well received in the local Florida circles.

Tariq “Nashi” Smith – Born In Kingston, Jamaica grew up under the influence of the hard driving rhythms of the Jamaican Dancehall musical scene, coupled with the luring sounds of the Upon moving to the United States of America, to pursue a college degree in psychology, Nashi was not able to refrain from that overwhelming urge to produce melodies of his island home and began making music as a hobby; however, it became apparent over time that what began as a fun distraction from long papers and studying, would become committed devotion to music.

Tariq ‘Nashi’ Smith musical productions draw on influences from his Jamaica culture, infusing the sounds of dancehall and reggae. It is also permeated with touches of modern Electro, House and Pop music to create a contemporary sound that appeals to the global music market.

As a producer first, Nashi prefers working the controls behind the scenes, however he is anything but shy in the booth. His multi- talented musical prowess allows him to flow on tracks with ease, comfort and skill. Laying tracks in Patois (Jamaican vernacular) and Standard English, Nashi capitalizes on his language command to capture a diverse audience and introduce his brand of music to the world.

Some of the latest Nashi’s and Chabin’s latest work include a smash dance/pop hit entitled “She  got me going”, the club banger “Babaloo”  and a heavy hitting dancehall track entitled “These People” which is in heavy rotation on the various social mediums……
