He moved to Port-au-Prince Haiti at an early age where he was raised for 15 years. Chabin always had an ear for music, whether it was in the courtyard during lunch period at school or in class and was always known for creating some kind of beat. Chabin epitomizes an original eclectic floetry, whilst some have likened him to international superstars such as Sean Paul, Pitbull and Flo Rida.
Later on in 2007, after performing at a Florida Atlantic University Carnival show, Chabin met with ‘Nashi’ (from the island of Jamaica), who was impressed by his lyrical content and delivery. Ever since then, they have been working together in the Kamau Productions studio anticipating hit-making with collaborations and new singles. The duo released their first single "Island Girls" which was well received in the local Florida circles.
