Judge Accepts Video And Audio Evidence Into Vybz Kartel Murder Trial


The judge presiding in the murder trial involving entertainer Vybz Kartel, Justice Lennox Campbell, has ruled to allow video and audio recordings, along with other evidence heard during the in-camera proceedings.


This marks a major victory for the prosecution, and it is understood that this will entail all the material which the prosecution had sought to have tendered into evidence.

For several weeks the court had been hearing evidence from witnesses including cyber crimes expert Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton.

The police had reported that the recordings link Vybz Kartel and his co-defendants to the killing.

Kartel is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Shawn Storm and three other men for the August 2011 murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams, who was allegedly killed in relation to two missing guns.
