Jahmiel Represents West Indies in UBER Official ICC World Cup Anthem

Cricket World Cup 2019, one of the most awaited sporting events of the year is just around the corner and International recording artist Jahmiel is right in the midst of the festivities.

Jahmiel, who resides in Jamaica, is one of five acclaimed artists across the world selected to be a part of this campaign.

The anthem is written by Sonal Dabral (Ogilvy) and curated by Composer Michael (Mikey) McCleary. It is sung by artists across five countries, featuring singers from Jamaica (Jahmiel), India (SANAM - The band), UK (Catherine Taylor Dawson), New Zealand (Simba Diallo) and South Africa (choir group - Khayelitsha United Mambazo). It aims to strike a chord with the emotions that fans feel during the World Cup.

The ICC Men's World Cup 2019, which will be watched by an estimated 1.5 billion passionate sports fans to cheer on their favorite teams, brings across a sense of togetherness. Year after year, passionate sports fans cheer on their favorite teams. This year, the world's largest personal mobility company, Uber, designed a global partnership campaign 'Every Fan is a Winner', which puts fans at the heart of the celebration by giving them a voice, a chance to be heard and be a part of the action!

"It's an honour to be associated with so many talented international artists from cricket loving nations to create this first ever anthem. As someone who love the sport from a youth, cricket always bring fond memories and it is a great feeling to know that I am a part of a project, which will have such a great impact on cricket fans all over the world. I do hope, like cricket, this anthem helps fans connect and bond together to cheer on their favorite sport" says Jahmiel.

Uber's World Cup Cricket Anthem Way-O, Way-O is all set to reverberate across stadiums in England and across the cricketing world as the biggest sporting event of the year gets underway today.
