Jah Torius - The music industry is a do are die type of business. The public will rate an artiste and support their music, or the public will tear an artist apart with boos, bottles and vicious criticisms.

Many aspiring artiste crack under the immense pressure .however there is one talented upcoming singer who displays the courage, confidence, an motivation that is crucial to this success in this industry his name is SHANRY .O. Williams but you may have heard of him by stage name, JAH-TORIUS.

“Grown up in Jamaica was not always easy but I wouldn’t change a thing.”, say jah-torius of his childhood. Born on the 2nd of February, 1989 in Falmouth, Jamaica, jah-torius comes from the most humbles of begins. With four older siblings, numerous children that is mother Peggy white raised, there was never a dull moment. “We all use to ramp an give bare trouble.”, jah-torius recalls. Aside
from all the ramping, from a young age jah-torius excelled academically and was among the top in his class.

Music has always been a part of jah-torius life .His mother is an active member of the revival church, and jah-torius as heard her sing in the church choir ever since he was a baby in the womb. Jeffroy, jah-torius older brother is also a natural singer. “I always knew when jeffroy was coming home.” explained jah-torius , “because I could hear him sings as he walk down the lane.” Around the age of
eleven jah-torius played the snare drum in the Trelawny marching band. This is how he got most of his practises as a performer. “We use to play at hotels, major event, and competitions. We mash it up every time!” says jah-torius .

In his teen years, there was a horrific gang war going on in Falmouth .despite his effect to remain neutral and uninvolved, jah-torius was drown into the war. “I had no guilt or mercy. It’s like my heart was frozen cold.” says jah-torius, when reminiscing on how he felt after seen some of his closest friends killed. With so many mixed emotions boiling with him, jah-torius use music as a way to express himself, and ease the daily pressure of the street war. thankfully ,just as thing were getting really hot ,jah-torius father , who lives in Florida ,filed for him to go to the united states .not long after moving to the united states , jah-torius moved to Wilmington , Delaware . From there, everything began fall into place.

Jah-torius made links in Philadelphia and started professionally recording his music. Not long after voicing his hits “TRELAWNY and LIFE IS A GIFT FROM GOD”, jah-torius as Philly lock. In Jamaica, jah-torius has being working diligently along side his manager Jackie Norman, to publicize his music. He has performed at various stage shows, made television appearance, and is looking forward to getting more radio play. “I have written gun tunes, gyal tunes, peace tunes and love songs….. You name it, I got it!,” says jah-torius of his uniquely versatile style.

No matter what the genre song is, jah-torius ‘poetic lyrics are always match with catchy tunes, rhythms, and melodies that will keep you wanting more. Look out for this intriguing new artist’s latest collaboration entitled Granny Back Bone
featuring Antwaine, which just dropped summer 2010 .whether you like it or love it jah-torius is here to stay!
