Is Reggae a world music? Depending on where you are living in the world, Reggae music might just start breaking ground there.

There are places where they haven't heard of Reggae music, while some countries have adopted Reggae as their own.

Where is Reggae Music Popular in the World?

The Caribbean
The United States of America
Canada
The United Kingdom
The Continents of Africa
Austria
Australia &
Germany

Countries such as Dubai, Isreal and other middle Eastern countries are just getting to know and start listening to Reggae Music.

Reggae music is most popular in Jamaica, Japan and Italy.

To answer your question Is Reggae a world music? In my opinion "NO" but it is getting there.

When will Reggae become world music? When the Grammies award starts giving the award for Best Reggae Album on the Main stage and more countries start playing Reggae on their local radio stations.
