Idominant is a Jamaican reggae artist known for his culture and spiritual style.

Born Stanford Hinds on October 27th, in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in the hills of St. Andrew, in a little district called Grant Hill. He is the eldest of 5 brothers and 9 sisters from both parents, mother Madline Lee, a domestic worker, father
Leroy Hinds, a masonry.

He later moved to Above Rock, in St. Catherine’s and attended St. Mary’s All Age (Above Rock) school where he was introduced to performing arts.

His class teacher hearing him singing and ‘knocking the desk’ in the classroom, she gave him a song to perform at his school event; it was the first time that he realized that he had a singing talent.

After graduating from St. Mary’s All Age school he relocated to Kingston & Spanish Town where he began to develop and craft his own style of music, writing lyrics that reflect the struggles of the people. His musical journey encountered many obstacle and hardship. But still he never gave up. He started performing at various community shows in Jamaica.

He was later able to travel to Miami, Florida where he performs at various events, ‘Jazzid’ in South Beach, ‘Curry Fest’ in West Palm Beach, ‘Vybz Lounge’in Fort Lauderdale as well as many other events throughout South Florida, his positive vibes help to uplift and inspire people of all ethics backgrounds to love and share the love with each other.

Idominant is inspired by the musical greats Bob Marley and Garnet Silk.

Idominant released his latest song; naah worry under I-Yah Powah Records now available on iTunes and Amazon August 1, 2014.
