Dec 4, 1976: Bob responds to press on why he's choosing to perform at the Smile Jamaica concert – scheduled for the following evening – after he, his wife Rita Marley, manager Don Taylor, and a fan were all shot in a failed assassination attempt at his home during rehearsals the night prior.

He would indeed perform the show as planned—a set that would forever become etched in the canon of music/Jamaican history.
