Empress Idama Releases Highly Anticipated Single

Empress Idama Releases Highly Anticipated Single - Accomplished Singer and African Dancer Creates Buzz in Europe  They say that it’s all in a name.

Empress Idama

With a name as powerful as I Empress Idama, Idama was more than ready to unleash her interwomen sound of Traditional West African, reggae, and jazz on her highly anticipated new single, “Jah Rastafari”.

Though originally from Ethiopia, Idama has roots in Jamaica and the USA.  She attributes her outstanding vocal and performing ability to her diversified background and her study of West African Music.

Idama has performed in venues around the world – from the Dakar, Senegal to Madison Square Garden.  The highlights of her career, according to Idama, were singing harmony for Dennis Brown at Pegasus Hotel and performing last month in Guyana at the Chronixx show.

In Empress Idama’s new single, the songstress’s melodic flow laced over Jahbula Thompson’s hypnotic track creates magic – in a sense.  Idama’s strong and unique vocals coupled with her uplifting and inspiring lyrical content is bound to captivate and motivate listeners regardless of genre preference.

Listen to the official single, “Jah Rastafari” – I Empress Idama, which was produced by DJ Golden Kid at
