Downsound Records signs Street Promoter Ghetto Bomb

Downsound Records (DSR) got off to a strong start in 2014 with the staging of Ninja Man's massively successful birthday bash that was recently held at Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

Under the effective leadership of Joe Bogdanovich, Downsound has become a major player in the Jamaican industry.

"Our company has been the driving force behind a number of successful projects. Over the years, we have successfully promoted and produced a number of major events. We are also known for the work that we have done in terms of developing and exposing a lot of talented artistes. So I think it's safe to say that we have paid our dues in the business," said Bogdanovich.

With several new projects already released this year, Downsound Records plans to take reggae and dancehall music to new heights.

The in-house marketing department, managed by Tyehimba Kafele with PR support from publicists Ralston 'Rallo' Barrett and Sean 'Contractor' Edwards, is always developing creative strategies to effectively promote the company's artistes and projects.

Downsound Records is also pleased to announce the official signing of Street Promoter Dane 'Ghetto Bomb' Miller, who was recently hired by Bogdanovich to work along with road manager 'Jay' to take the DSR force to the
streets of Jamaica.

Ghetto Bomb has been in street promotions for over eight years and has worked for the likes of Stephen McGregor, Chino, Laden, Sean Paul, Big Yard, Alaine, Serani, Mavado, and Christopher Martin.

Ghetto Bomb is the man who gives the term 'nightlife entertainment' a whole new meaning by distributing music to clubs, parties, street dances, and sound-system selectors on a nightly basis.

"We plan to take over the streets of Jamaica in a very serious way. We are confident that with Ghetto Bomb on our team, we can increase our presence across the country in a major way. He is well known in the streets as one of the best street promoters, and we are happy to have him on our team," Bogdanovich said.

Downsound will kick off an islandwide 'Nightlife Tour' in March to promote a number of new singles by artistes signed to the label, including On & On by Don Husky, Retarded by Nature, and Jamaica Town by Ninja Man.

The Downsound team also consists of several other individuals who play very important roles in the running of the company, namely Ava Rowe, Shady, Black Pearl, Foota Hype, Ruel, Kimani, Chin, Palmer, SK, Thunda, Elder, Redz, Beans, Miss Green, Barrington, Kido, and Smalling.
