De'Vious Ready to Take the World by Storm
Upcoming dancehall artiste De’Vious has kicked off the year on a very high note. The artiste who hails from Sherlock has enjoyed a good run in 2014 but looks forward to even bigger things for 2015.
Though relatively fresh on the scene, De’Vious has built a huge reputation in the streets for his lyrical prowess. The dancehall artiste is also lauded for his diverse songs that have displayed both versatility and growth in his music.
“One thing that everybody know bout De’Vious and that is mi nuh stagnant, mi always keep moving and growing and learning. That’s how you become successful and that is my biggest dream right now, to become one of the top dancehall artistes to come out of Jamaica, and mi know say this dream is going to be a reality.” The artiste said.
De’Vious, who is currently signed to Clean Money Entertainment, has recently teamed up with M.I.A. Production who is officially responsible for the public relations aspect of the artiste’s career. Not About Hype or gimmicks
For Devious, it is not about they hype or the gimmicks, it is about putting out good music that his fans will enjoy and music that will last; that is the only attention grabber he is interested in.
“I always hold a meds before I write my songs cause to me if the song don’t sound good or if the lyrics poor, then it is just not a good song. Nuff a dem artiste out there a just gimmicks dem deh pon and there is no substance to them thing, which is why dancehall music a water down so. “
He adds, “Nuff a dem artiste yah need to go back to the drawing board and come back again. Mi nah call nobody name and me nah diss no man but a real ting me a talk bout.”
De’Vious’ talent has led him to work with numerous artistes over the years such as Krazy producing singles like "Health and Strength," "Dem See We" alongside Delus from the Subkonshus camp, and “Dream Girl, one of his latest singles" on the Subkonshus music "Feenin riddim. Dream Girl especially has been getting a lot of airplay and is already a hit in the streets.
“A whole heap more things in the pipeline for De’Vious so just remember the name cause me a come take the world by storm.”
