FORT LAUDERDALE -- Police are investigating the shooting death of a Fort Lauderdale man found Friday night in an unoccupied apartment that police said was being used as a crack house.

Vernon Rainford, 24, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in the apartment in the 700 block of Northeast 14th Terrace after neighbors reported hearing shots fired, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

It was 1988..Vernon Rainford is is real name.
