Popular female deejay Stylysh gave an emphatic performance at Sting 2012 that showed why seasoned female deejays such as Lady Saw believe that she is one of the top female deejays to watch in 2013.
Dressed in a sexy, revealing leather dominatrix outfit, Stylysh hit the stage declaring "weh the clean and tight girls dem de?" before going straight into her biggest hit song, Mi A Wife. As she worked every inch of the stage, the vuvuzelas spanked the air and lighters went up as she boasted "nuh worry about a gal cause ah me ah wear the ring".
The crowd roared when she made a reference to Bounty Killer and the hammer, and then again when she declared: "Respect to Aidonia but Kartel mi say even when him ah use the Nadinola!".
The crowd screamed in delight.
She then did a new song called Everything A Dead, which name-dropped Tommy Lee and other artistes and earned a forward. By this time, she had the full attention of the crowd.
"Everybody who waan dem free Adidja Palmer, mek mi hear yu say Gaza," she said.expletive-laced lines
The crowd shouted 'Gaza' in response. Then Kartel's voice blared out of the speakers.
"Are you ready fi come love mi right now?" she deejayed. The girls screamed as she did a few more expletive-laced lines and exited to loud vuvuzelas and forwards.
In the last couple of months, Stylysh has performed at a number of shows across the Caribbean such as Antigua, St Lucia, St Kitts and The Bahamas. She performed at the Kite Festival in Westmoreland on January 1.
