Dancehall artiste Alkaline Still In Police Custody
Dancehall star Alkaline will remain in police custody until Friday when questioning will resume in a probe into the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris in St Andrew last month.
Stephanie Lindsay, Head of the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU), made the revelation on Thursday evening after police conducted two rounds of questioning with the popular entertainer, whose real name is Earlan Bartley.
The deejay reported to the Area 4 police headquarters in Kingston at 9:25 am on Thursday, dressed in a red shirt, blue denim jeans pants and a red baseball cap.
He was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Morris of Three Oaks Garden in St Andrew. Morris was shot more than 15 times by armed thugs at his home in January. Sources say the 28-year-old unemployed man was slaughtered while next to a five year old child believed to be his daughter.
Bartley was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Branch headquarters just after midday for another round of questioning.
