Reggae Recording artiste Da Professor

Da Professor (Julio Todd) was born in Kingston Jamaica , He grew up in Waterhouse & attended Oberlin High School, but his interest in music started at age 9 when he began performing at various school, church and community talent shows.

In 2005 he migrated to the United States where he went on to finish school at the Thomas Edison High School in New York. In 2006 Professor met up with a long time friends Ramaine Hamilton (Studio Face) & Shawlon Stone (Stevie Bash) & soon after they formed a studio & music group known as “Jetset International Music Group” and “Jetset Studio”.

However it wasn’t until after a performance on September 22, 2008 by Da Professor along with the Jetset family for the councilor of Queens New York, that his raw talent was realized & windows started to open up for his musical career. His first single “Nothing Nuh Change” was recorded and produced by “LMR Productions” and since then he has done work with Scott Storch , reggae group Inner Circle as well as written a number of songs for several popular dancehall artists.

Julio was given the name ‘Da Professor’ because of his versatile style in songwriting, beat making and video editing. His musical influences include Beenie Man, Beres Hammond, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Bob Marley, Da Professor’s most noted & recent work has been with international producer Don Corleon, releasing such singles as “Good Times “, “Leave We Alone” and “Be Careful” among others.

His future goals are to be extremely successful working with the don corleon family putting out all the effort work with the best in order to become the best artist, songwriter & producer and to cement his name in history as one of the grates in music.
