Jamaican Reggae Artiste - Claudius England

Jamaican reggae artiste Claudius England aka "Supa". His music can be heard throughout Jamaica, the Caribbean, the US, Japan and Europe and listener feedback suggests that his music touches the very core of each heart.

He sings from a very real place and usually connects to his audience through his description of situations that many can relate to – while offering a direction of hope.

Professionally, Supa is being nominated in two categories for the Atlanta Gospel Music Awards to be held in September 2012 for - “Best New Artiste” and “Most Uplifting Song –(“Done For Me”).

Earlier this year too, he was awarded Jamaica’s leading radio station – Love 101’s “Engage Alien Award” naming him the “One To Watch For 2012”. He was also nominatedfor Chicago’s International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in the category of Best Gospel Oriented Song.

Claudius has also enjoyed great reviews and accolades with his passionate sound and lyrics over the last few years. He has participated in many of Jamaica’s premier gospel and mainstreamevents and received rave media reviews for his performance at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival 2010. The 2011 Olic Project - an initiative created to promote love and unity surrounding the issue of HIV/AIDS through culturally relevant expressions of Christian worship - used his “HIV” singleas their official theme song and in Chicago this year, Claudius shared stage with Queen Ifrika,Beres Hammond, Third World, Tony Rebel, Nkulee Dubee, I-Octane, Tarrus Riley and manyothers as he performed for a diverse music loving audience.

He also had the distinct privilege of performing at the popular Red Kiva alongside some of Chicago’s finest jazz, R&B and worldmusic artistes before heading to Florida where his riveting performance at the Total Praise Jamaica 50 event led to an interview on RHRTV1.
