CK and Konshens Collaboration “Body of the Year” Creating Waves


Sassy turns into sexy as American – Tanzanian born local songbird Clara Kahwa ,popularly Known as “CK” creates waves with “Body of the Year” her new collaboration with international dancehall artiste Konshens produced by Timothy “Quik Keyz” Kahwa.


Konshens says “Well I chose to work with CK because she’s a good friend of mine and then I realized she’s a bad artiste. Her bro is sick producer!! .. the talent overload so we had to do something!!”

CK says “ the way it was done was so organic. Quik Keyz knows my voice so he guided me sonically and Konz I think heard my voice doing something I hadn’t tried before. I

remember him looking at me and nodding to the beat then saying “sing this”, CK sings the hook, and I just sang it till it felt natural because I just went with an open mind, not to make a hit but to make a moment. For him to text me the next day “this is a hit” was overwhelming and humbling.”

Adding to his new catalogue of hits, Konshens also help CK bridge the gap into dancehall with this track as opposed to her earlier pop, r&b and reggae tracks aiding her journey to becoming a master of all musical trades.

She adds “Radio and street disc jocks are giving it support and see its potential which i’m truly
grateful for”. This track is not only gaining support here but is also gaining traction in Europe, Kenya, Japan, Barbados, United States , Israel , United Kingdom ,Netherlands , Canada , Kenya , Germany , France , Haiti - Switzerland, Belgium, Cayman Islands, El Salvador , Costa Rica, Denmark , Cyprus , Russian Federation – Belize, Spain, South Africa , Romania , Zambia , Japan , Chile , Madagascar , Uganda , Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia ,Bahamas stating that “I love dis”, “great sound”, “She has an international sound I like”.

“Body of the Year” boasts a sweet, sexy dancehall vibe with a hard hitting hardcore vibe bringing forth an explosive combination. The song explicitly speaks to her “sex appeal” as a woman and definitely highlights that sultry side of this upcoming sensation. This song is already a huge hit with the female population and no doubt will continue to get bigger.
