2011 saw a slew of new aspiring dancehall reggae artists clamoring to voice (record) on the same repetitive riddims. Multiple artists with songs on one riddim (instrumental) are a trademark of dancehall music. Call it ‘supreme wisdom’ but watching all this from a distance in his adopted home of Toronto, Canada, was SUPREME; the golden-voiced Trewlany, Jamaica-born deejay. Arguably one of the hottest new dancehall artists to come out in a while, Supreme approached his rise in the ranks in a completely new and ground-breaking way.

When the talented 24 year old migrated to Canada in 2009 he knew that he was drastically cutting his chances of 'blowing' up in Jamaica as a dancehall artist. However, being the confident natural star that he is, Supreme embraced that challenge. What Supreme did next is what sets him apart today from the rest of this field. Knowing that he would not easily be considered to voice on new riddims by the top music producers in Jamaica, Supreme sought out his own path in Canada.

First he successfully signed with the hottest independent record label in Toronto - Spreez Music Group/J-Nice Records. Now with 24/7 access to a studio he pulled together a motley crew team of producers to turn their experiences in producing different genres of
music into making him hot original dancehall riddims.

In the hugely multicultural megacity of Toronto, Supreme's producers include a Persian, an African, an Asian and of course Jamaican-Canadians. What that unique mix of international talent has brought to his sound is absolutely amazing! *see - his debut album*
Always a professional, Supreme's versatility as an artist is always on display on every song he is on. His vocal arrangements, unique flow and clever lyrics are complemented successfully by the out-of-the-box dancehall riddims his producers create. With Supreme always delivering a hot lead song for them, some of the successful riddims include the standout 'Anthem Riddim' (featuring Alliance artist, CALADO), the 'DTF Riddim' (featuring Natalie Storm – Ward21) and the 'Chiffon' Riddim (featuring Jah Vinci, Charlie Black and more).

Supreme is considered a unique force in Canadian dancehall for his hot crossover collaborations with some of the best hip hop and RnB talent out. His tracks 'Hardcore' featuring singer TROY BLACK, ‘I Know How' featuring the sulty-voiced R&B singer AKUA, 'Tdot Anthem 2012' featuring the hottest up-and-coming Toronto rapper FAME, as well as 'Stab Her' featuring Gyssa, are all making their way to Top 40 radio stations worldwide.

All the above-mentioned tracks and a whole lot more will be featured on the highly anticipated Solid & Simple: The Album due out May 2012. Follow the journey Supreme took to make the album on the official blog: http://www.supremedancehall.blogspot.com
