Jamaicans are known to follow the trends built by the dancehall communities, but recording artiste Badd Indyann believes one should be able to create their own style and not be concerned with the trends set by others.
The artiste, who recently released the single and video, Style And Teach on the Refresha rhythm, has been creating a buzz and has received mixed reactions.
He shared: "I believe that the innovation of the art of fashion is essential in setting fashionable trends. The song says 'if dem a wear Clarkes me a wear sneaks' because it's really about encouraging people to have their own style and create trends".
The video for the single, directed by Badd Indyann and shot by OCM Productions, has also received recognition by popular US media blog Hippop TV, which praised Badd Indyann for his uniqueness.
In addition to this success, he was recently given musical advice on Fame FM's 'Full House Fridays' programme from popular group Voicemail, regarding his musical growth.
Badd Indyann is also set to release the single Priceless, with 2013 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall entrant Shac. The single embraces the beauty of women and the importance of treating a woman right. He will premiere the video for this single this summer on his official Vevo page.
