Aljermaine hopes for big break in music

At only 17 years old Aljermaine has chosen to pursue music as a career.

Aljermaine

He has always had a love for music and has made this clear to his classmates and teachers alike. Deriving his inspiration from legends such as Elvis Presley and Celine Dion, Aljermaine grew up in a home that embraced good-quality music.

He released his first single, Grey Smoke, in the summer and has been receiving great reviews. The single, produced by Wilford Thomas with technical producers Norris Giffiths and Sanjay Pennant, is on the Grey Smoke rhythm.

The single is a fusion of pop and R&B and speaks about a young man's pursuit of a woman who does not share the same sentiments.

Aljermaine shared: "Being young and in the music industry, I try to sing about problems that we as young people go through, whether it be relationships or otherwise".

The young artiste has since released the video for the single. It was directed by AJG Logan and is available on Aljermaine's YouTube page. "The video is very simple but creative and has been creating a buzz," he said.

The artiste, who hails from Manchester, is eager to please his growing fan base. He is set to perform on several stages in Kingston and St Andrew before embarking on his promotional media runs. Aljermaine shared that he wants to be remembered for being a "positive influence to his peers".
