Alexander Star trying to break ‘Badd Habitz’ with new EP.

In life, it is easy for us to develop bad habits, even when we don’t realize such habits are recurring. Upcoming writer and artist, Alexander Star has released a new EP looking at some of these prominent vices by aptly titling his new EP after them.
Badd Habitz, a refreshing Reggae / R&B project produced by Nicko Rebel Music is themed strongly on the temptations of mind-altering substances, with the American-born Alexander Star and friends talking up the contrasts of said temptations, but imaginatively showing that these ‘habitz’ can be controlled for self-betterment.

The first song showcasing these contrasts is Sippin’ on Rum, which features multi-talented Jamaican singer, Toi. The song explores some of these habitz on a day off of work, referencing the highs one can get from sipping alcohol or taking a draw of herb, getting an extra buzz and loosening the mind when playing music or just trying to relieve stress. The song is an ideal combination of Star’s melodic rapping style and Toi’s gentle singing voice that creates a ‘chill’ vibe for listeners in various sectors of life.

When one gets a little too much of this ‘buzz’ in his or her system and is away from home, it is always smart to have a Designated Driva, the title of the last song on the EP which features dynamic verses from Voicemail Music Group and Shaka Pow. The song reflects on a typical night on the town that gets a little wild. However, Star raps/sings (‘rings’) about taking the safe route home as he illustrates a colorfully fun time that most people can relate to.

Alexander Star shines alone on Supplier, where he compares the beauty and energy of an intriguing woman to the attractive body and sweet aroma of a high-grade marijuana plant that hasn’t yet been harvested. The fire burns for the ladies in this song, in which Star showcases his vocal and conceptual range.
The Badd Habitz EP is filled with smooth production blending several acoustic combinations, mingling elements of R&B, Reggae, Hip-Hop and Jazz throughout the rhythms. This project is organically multi-dimensional, making it a suitable listen for anyone in any region.

Badd Habitz will be made available across numerous digital music outlets and is a must-have for music lovers, good vibers and those seeking the thrill of enjoying their own ‘badd habitz’ while taming them just the same.
