5 Stars Recording Artist Baby Chris, is on the rise, with a number one video (Street Pledge feat. Ding Dong and New Kidz), Two songs in heavy rotation worldwide, (What did I Do and Why). An Award for Most Improved artist for 2011 from Linkage Awards,(New York), successful tours in Japan, USA and Europe, 2012 have proven to be a very good year for Baby Chris and 5 Stars Recording.
Baby Chris was born Christopher Lloyd on July 21st in one of Kingston’s toughest communities, Cockburn Pen. Baby Chris migrated to the United Kingdom in the year 2000, where his focus was to further his music career. Along the way he met Lenky and Orthodox who were pursuing the same dream and he and the duo formed a group called L.O.C. In June 2005, L.O.C had its first hit single entitled ‘Ring Ding Ding’, on the Jet Star Record Label. It was also included on the ‘Best selling’ compilation for Jet Star, Trim Westwood and VP Records in New York.
Baby Chris signed a management, booking and Recording Contract with 5 Stars Recording Inc in 2009. His first hit single under the 5 Stars label was Dagga Train, followed by Best Woman, What did I Do and Why.
With a recording contract with 5 Stars Recording, Baby Chris returned to Jamaica to pursue a solo career. So far he has shown no signs of slowing down. He has been recording songs for some of Jamaica's top producers, including Stephen McGregor of Big Ship, Seanizzle, Trensetta, and Truck Back Records.
In December 2012 Baby Chris showcased his soulful voice and unique style on prominent events such as, Sting, G T Taylor's Christmas Extravaganza, and Stone Love Annual Anniversary Dance. His fans were delighted to see him in action; this was evident from the screams, horns, bells and shouts heard throughout the audience everywhere he performed.
