Where is Reggae singer Koffee From? Another question sent into us via our email.


Koffee whose real name is Mikayla Simpson was born on February 16, 2000, is from the community of Eltham View in Spanish Town, St Catherine, Jamaica.

Koffee grew up in a Christian home, started writing music lyrics from she was twelve years old. She got her musical influence from Reggae singer Protoje.

She got the name "Koffee" from her friends at school because she always ordered hot coffee instead of a cold drink on a hot day.

Koffee's first major stage show performance was at 2018 staging of Rebel Salute, which is held in St Ann, Jamaica. She was introduced by Veteran Reggae singer Cocoa Tea during his set at the festival.

She has since performed at Reggae Sumfest and Europe biggest festival Rototom Sunsplash.

In 2018, she also signed with Columbia Records UK, this was followed by the released of her debut EP Rapture on March 14, 2019.

Reggae music insider are now saying that she will be the next big name in Reggae.
