Reggae Pop Star Nefatari Nominated For Prestigious Annual Underground Music Awards.


Her impressive accolades boasts such achievements as proudly being the first Caribbean artist to perform at the Essence Music Festival, background singer for Lindsay Lohan, gracing the pages of Vogue and Glamour among other prestigious fashion magazines and to round up this triple threat, she is also a budding actress building a notable resume.


The latest honor bestowed upon the multi talented Nefatari is a nomination nod for Most Promising Female Artist at the 11th annual Underground Music Awards. "I'm honored and proud to be nominated for an Underground Music Award. Many top artists have won this award as an upcoming artist, so it reminds me to keep pushing. Hard work pays off." stated the songbird to the media.

Taking place on September 21st, 2014 in New York City, past winners of Urban Threshold's Underground Music Awards include Nicki Minaj, MGK, Cory Gunz, J. Cole, Freeway, Lil Mama, Killah Priest, Remy Ma, Styles P, Papoose, Saigon, Lumidee, and Fred The Godson among others. Past honorees include Hip-Hop legends like Whodini, Brand Nubian, Ice T, Naughty By Nature, EPMD, Slick Rick, Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash, MC Shan, DJ Red Alert, DJ Kid Capri, Kool G Rap, M.O.P., Ralph McDaniels, DJ Kay Slay, DJ Envy and many more.

Fans of Nefatari and music lovers are encouraged to vote as the winners of the Underground Music Awards are determined via online voting by the general public. Voting is allowed once a day everyday until September 10th from your phone and/or computer.

Nefatari recently released her hit bound single "My Buddy" produced by Tony Bless. The sizzling single has been received to rave reviews and is making it's way unto various international airwaves. A supporting video is to be expected within the next few months.
