International Dancehall Artist Orisha Sound Releases Single Remix for “World War III”

Los Angeles, CA - The international pop-reggae star Orisha Sound revives this year’s hit single “World War III” feat. Beenie Man. The highly successful single featuring Grammy winner Beenie Man has received airplay on hundreds of radio stations and hit number one on Jamaican radio charts. The up and coming DJ Ryan Otter (DJ Carnage and The Cataracs) seems to have the Midas touch and there’s no doubting he has turned this already hit single into gold.

Orisha Sound’s “World War III” featuring Beenie Man was recorded in Los Angeles, Kingston, Jamaica and Moscow, Russia with Executive Producer Shel-K. Orisha describes the new remix as, "a crossover song. This remix is taking the song to the next level.” Ryan Otter gives a second life to “World War III”. The remix straightaway opens with a steady tribal melody complimented by light synth accents. The song eventually becomes a fast paced beat backed by a strong synth, all of which is headlined with a clapping rhythm.

Otter is notable known for his collaborations with DJ Carnage and The Cataracs. As a progressive artist, he uses the “less is more” approach, proving you can use simplicity as a means to create a solid, catchy hook. Keeping away from the limelight, Otter has been an active musical artist for over ten years and often ghost writes for many Russian pop artists. He is notorious for his rapid rate of production; his work ranges from film soundtracks and TV series to Electronic Dance Music.

Orisha Sound is a multi-talented, singer-songwriter of Scandinavian, Brazilian, and Slavic ancestry. She began playing music at four years old and now plays over fifteen musical instruments. She started touring in Europe and the United States by the age of nine. Orisha is an artist who takes a proactive approach in writing/co-writing her own songs along with presence in the production stage. She has shared the stage and studio time with stars like Stevie Wonder, Snoop Lion, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Sizzla, Sly & Robbie and many more. Her first international debut single “Beautiful Sin” was released in 2012, creating bidding war among major record labels soon after its release. In 2013, Orisha signed with RBC Records (Snoop Lion, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, Game). Later that year, she released the 15-track album Cupid. Two songs off the album, “Embrace It” feat. Sizzla Kalonji and “Sunshine Lady” feat. Wayne Daniel reached number one in Jamaica and went on to chart in several countries. Two music videos, “Beautiful Sin” and “Make Me Moan,” premiered on MTV and received airplay on radio stations around the world.

Orisha uses her artistic strength that she has been perfecting since the age of four, to stay acquainted with her roots. She incorporates elements of reggae, electronic, dancehall, hip-hop and world music. In Orisha’s words, “We are taking dancehall world music to the EDM clubs worldwide. Big up to all the Orisha Sound fans and everyone involved in the project… no one can stop this.” Orisha takes pride in being authentic and makes it a personal objective to take the road less traveled as a means to be artistically creative.

Orisha Sound currently splits her time between Los Angeles, USA and Kingston, Jamaica. As a recording actress/singer-songwriter she is always working on something new and never stays in one place. Orisha is continuously taking on new projects such as her own reality TV show Project O set to debut this year.
