Dancehall artiste D'Angel lands supporting role in Jamaican Movie "Mafia"
Local sources have reported that Dancehall artiste D'Angel has landed a supporting role in the movie Jamaican Mafia, a gangster thriller made in the US, which details the experiences of Zoolian Anderson (Zoo-Zoo), a frustrated car salesman who resigns from his corporate job and descends into the Jamaican underworld as he searches for power, riches and respect.
The Dancehall artiste has landed a role as 'Robin', the sexy, seductive girlfriend of one of the high-profile gangsters and she last week shot scenes for her role in the States alongside Jamaican actor Paul Campbell.
Reports are that production of the movie is scheduled to begin in August and the idea is to target an adult audience.
D’Angel says the movie will hit theatres later this year and is said to be like the Jamaican version of Scarface.
