Dancehall artiste Gage 'Look Gyal' for Dutty Fridaze
Dutty Fridaze Promotions, operated by star West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle and his brother Vanclive 'Father Bulla' Parris, are gearing up to release a new single for dancehall artiste Gage. They believe the single has the potential to make a strong impact in the dancehall.
The single, Look Gyal, according to Gage's road manager, Cornelius Daley, has a captivating effect.
"If we give it the right promotion, nothing can stop it. From it jus' record, we could tell from hearing its reply in the studio that we had another hit on our hands," Daley said.
Daley also said Look Gyal is an authentic dancehall record.
"Everybody know, and if you don't know, you can go back and listen Dutty Fridaze productions. We always stick to the script and make real, authentic dancehall rhythms.
"Our instruments and our arrangements are similar to that of the '90s and that is why, despite some level of controversy, people are always drawn to Gage; a real dancehall wi duh. We will be in the street doing promotions for this song because wi believe inna it and wi nah hit and miss," he said.
Gage broke unto the scene under the guidance of the late Patrick 'Roach' Samuels in 2013 with the single, Burning Sun. The Clarendon-born deejay later followed up with Caribbean hits such In Deh, Hey Mama and Throat, among others.
A music video for Look Gyal will be filmed and released on local and international television stations and YouTube. Gage has been recording new music and performing at events in the Caribbean and simultaneously.
