Gaming And Reggae – A Perfect Fit

Your first pGaming is a hobby and pastime of many people nowadays. And, with so many different ways to play, it’s more accessible than ever, appealing to a mass market as a result.

Of course, you could say that reggae music, which was very much brought to the fore by the iconic Bob Marley, is similar in its global appeal, but did you ever think the two things could
go hand in hand?.

It's fair to say that if you put gaming and reggae together, you’d initially think that they’re two elements that would be hard to combine. But, over the years, there have been instances where the marrying up has been seamless, primarily with video games.

However, the relationship has spread even further in the gaming arena, according to reviews on slot games , which suggest that they have found a way to connect the two parts, seamlessly.

Bolt Riley: A Reggae Adventure

Bolt Riley: A Reggae Adventure is a prime example of where reggae music and artists come to the fore in a video game. Players take on the role of Bolt Riley, who is an up and coming reggae artist from the streets of Jamaica..

The game is divided into chapters via a click and point system. The aim is to guide Bolt through the minefield of a career in the music industry.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V is an iconic video game that isn’t all about reggae music or artists, but what it does do, like many other titles, is provide reggae music to listen to.

The GTA series is famous for its soundtrack, which plays out across the various radio stations that players can tune into when driving around the massive map.

And, if you check out Blue Ark, you’re going to not only hear reggae, but the station is hosted by Lee 'Scratch' Perry , a legend of the scene.

Bob’s Coffee Shop

We mentioned above how reggae has moved beyond video games, and Bob's Coffee Shop is an excellent example of a video slot with some authentic vibes. Of course, as you will likely guess from the title, there's a Bob Marley inspired theme to enjoy.

And, alongside that, there are links to the famous coffee shops of Amsterdam, with BGaming, the developer of the slot, doing everything they can to make this a game true to the reggae scene.

Forza Horizon 4

We’re going to end our list with another game where reggae is brought to life via an in-game soundtrack, akin to what we see with Grand Theft Auto V. Forza Horizon, a hit game series with players, released its fourth edition in 2018, and this is the installment we’re
focusing on here.

Thanks to the soundtrack, it’s possible to drive and listen to Bob Marley and the Wailers – Lively Up Yourself . It’s currently the last time music from Bob Marley was used in the video game scene.
