What is Reggae Music?
Reggae or ragga music is a genre of Jamaican music developed in the 1970s. Reggae was originally more roots, Rastafarian geared and religious.

Jamaica has produced many popular and outstanding artists, some of the most outstanding and memorable reggae artists are Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Beres Hammond, Burning Spear and Jimmy Cliff who paved the way for the new generation of artists.

The origin of the word "reggae" is open to debate. Reggae was born out of rock-steady music.
