Winston Riley aka Mr Techniques died on January 19, 2012

Winston Riley also known as Mr Techniques died on January 19, 2012 after months in coma after he was shot in the head on November 1, 2011.

Winston Riley produced the late General Echo's The Slackest album on his Techniques label in 1979, and was instrumental in the development of the careers of Sister Nancy, Buju Banton, Cutty Ranks, Lone Ranger, and Frankie Paul.

Winston is also the father of popular Fame 95FM disc Jockey Kurt Riley.
