VYBZ KARTEL TRIAL: Accused sent text message suggesting deceased ran away

More text message revelations in the Vybz Kartel murder trial this morning have pointed to one of the accused, Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, allegedly suggesting that Clive ‘Lizard' Williams ran away.

Yesterday, Detective corporal Shawn Brown made a PowerPoint presentation of the text messages that were sent on August 16, 2011, the same day that Williams was reportedly killed over two missing guns.

William's body was never found.

But in one of the messages read in court this morning, Campbell allegedly texted an unknown person on August 20, 2011 asking if he/she had heard that Williams had run away.

And in messages reportedly sent a day after the alleged murder, the accused told someone: “a di bwoy brown tief dem and run weh”.

In another message, Campbell texted the unknown person saying he did not know why they are running away if they did not do anything.

Yesterday, the jurors heard text message evidence suggesting that Williams feared for his life after being summoned to visit Vybz Kartel.

Kartel is jointly charged with Campbell, a fellow entertainer, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John for the August 16, 2011 murder of Williams.
