Vybz Kartel songs banned on New York radio station

For the month of February None of Vybz Kartel's song will be played on Irie Jam radio station in New York.

In an interview host/programme director, Dubb Master Chris said "He will not play any music from the artiste who has raised eyebrows for bleaching his skin.

Black History Month is a big deal and we as a people should take every opportunity to celebrate our heritage.

I feel if I continue to play Vybz Kartel, an artiste who is now very much known for bleaching his skin, it simply sends the wrong message to my young impressionable listeners" Chris said.

Kartel's is now the center of focus in Jamaica and even the Caribbean, due to the fact that he has made it clear that he is bleaching his skin.

Even though most people are against bleaching his song "CAKE SOAP" is one of the most popular song on the Island today. In this song he said that the cool tone that his skin now has is because of the soap which he has being using.
