Born and bred in the food basket parish of St Elizabeth, Terrice Johnson, (terry to her friends) first of three (3) siblings, was born on the December 8th 1981 and attended the Lacovia primary school in her earlier years of primary school.
In the similar case of many children, Terry was also a victim of the common circumstances influencing children having to adhere to parents choices after separation, having to make well with living with her father, terry was then enrolled in the New Forest Primary and Junior High School; there she discovered a love for the performing arts, writing scripts, stories and poems.
Surprisingly, writing songs and singing was not a part of that discovery; however she went on to get an award for the best performing arts and English student in her graduation class, something her father was very proud of.
Terrice was successful in her opportunities to attain a secondary education at decarteret College in Mandeville Manchester, where she was more involved in the extra-activities which sharpened her skills. After graduating she discovered a love for music which started out outside of Gospel as she was not yet a Christian.
At the age of 27 Terrice felt the calling of the lord upon her life, yet, still didn’t understand what it meant or what it was, it was after being invited to a church service, where perpetual praise was ministering Terrice felt a comfort and a sense of belonging that she had never felt before, she heard a sound and a music that she has never heard before, that’s when she made a solid decision at the Mandeville New Testament Church of God that she’s giving her life to the Lord.
Immediately after being baptized, she started her singing ministry in some parts as a soloist, a member of the choir, and a member of the praise and worship team, she also sings at crusades, rallies, concerts, and conventions.
In 2010, Terrice’s mission led her to approach the local production and
promotions house headed by Mr Gawaine “Sir G” Allen. This union started out as a developmental program, which gave her the chance to be accompanied by the production house’s resident band. This all blossomed into a beautiful relationship assisting that assisted her to make and propel her strides. Within these past two (2) years, terry has been preparing various singles with a hope to have her album in the short term.
Her strides have continues to be significant has, she has now been able to share the stage with many of Jamaica’s “A” list artistes’, additionally
with the help of her management team at the production house, she also boasts her presence on some of the largest and more significant and annual concerts and festivals.
Terrice hopes to encourage others through her music by telling of the love and the goodness of GOD, Bringing souls to Christ and finally encouraging a life of holy living towards the Almighty One.
Terrice recorded her first single February 2013 titled “I will trust you”.
