ST. MARY INFIRMARY RECEIVES DONATION FROM DECKY PROMOTIONS
On Tuesday, May 27, CEO of Decky Promotions, Dexton Ennis , handed over part proceeds of the recent event, Magnum Follow Ur Sound, to the St. Mary Infirmary. Mayor of Port Maria, Levan Ainsworth Freeman accepted the cheque, valued at $100, 000, on behalf of the Infirmary.
Mr. Ennis has been assisting the Infirmary for over 13 years and says he is committed to helping for years to come. “They say you can tell a nation by the way it treats its sick, helpless and elderly. We often forget these people and they need to feel loved, cared for and protected. I would encourage other promoters to give back to these vulnerable persons.”
The St. Mary Infirmary, formerly known as the St. Mary Poorhouse, has been around since 1985 . It houses over 80 persons, some of whom are physically and mentally challenged.
