Sound System selector Pink Panther returns to clashing
Veteran sound-systems operator Pink Panther will break his yearlong sabbatical from sound clash when he appears on the much-anticipated 'War Climate' show.
For much of the past 12 months, the dynamic Pink Panther, who made his name as a fierce selector winning numerous sound clashes around the world, took the time off to focus on family and his fast-growing record label, 5 Star Camp Productions.
This comes after a very successful 22 years in the sound-clash industry where he won multiple World Clash titles.
However, he will make a comeback tonight at Appleton Estate, St Elizabeth, when he goes up against an old rival in Ricky Trooper, along with Bredda Hype, Red Heat, and Innocent from Miami, Florida.
The event is being organised by Ras and Twin Promotions.
"It's been a while since I took the break, but tonight, my fans can come out and see the Panther in live and living colour, cause I am going to show them that nothing has changed," he said.
Pink Panther, also referred to by some as the five-star general, said he will work independently, having cut ties with previous employers Black Kat sound system.
"I am working by myself this time around. But, it is the same Pink Panther, nothing has changed," he said.
