Snoop Dogg/Snoop Lion said Reggae is something that needs to be glamorised
SNOOP Dogg has defended his decision to ditch rap for reggae and change his name in the process.
Despite wearing shades saying Dogg on them at Sziget, the 40-year-old wants to be called Snoop Lion for his next album campaign.
"Reggae is something that needs to be glamorised and that's what I'm gonna do," Snoop Dogg told the Daily Star.
"I'll always be Snoop Dogg, because that's who I am. Snoop Lion is just what I'm called while I'm making reggae music."
The hip-hop star recently insisted that he has always felt as if he is "Bob Marley reincarnated".
Snoop Dogg also confessed that he needs marijuana, vintage music and women to inspire him to write new rap tracks.
