SHIFTA reddies for ‘Do You Wanna’ Japan Tour, Single Remix and more!


Jamaican Born, Miami based artiste Shifta is gearing up for an exciting Summer. With a collaboration EP with Japan Platinum selling artiste Che’nelle to be released this summer, a remix to their hit single “Do You Wanna” as well as an impending Asian tour, the DJ anticipates a fully revved season.


The popularity on the international market of Shifta’s “Do You Wanna” single featuring Che’nelle, prompted Timeless Records to initiate plans to create a collaborative Project with both artistes.

The EP is Dance-hall meets R&B with an international smooth flow that the Timeless Records team considers to be a different and unique sound, a ‘timeless’ collection of music.The untitled collabo EP project is near completion and will be released in Summer 2015.

The first single from the project ‘Do You Wanna’ climbed the ITunes Reggae Charts and peaked at the number one spot earlier this year while the music video still enjoys rotation on US based video platform MTV.

All Shifta’s fans in Asia will have a chance to see him live and vibe with him this Summer as well. Timeless Records CEO, Rasheed Ali, gave us insight into Shifta’s upcoming tour:

“Japan is a key market based on the popularity of the ‘Do You Wanna’ Single and the multi-platinum selling artist featured on the song,Chenelle, we already have over 5 major stops and many other interests have come in to Timeless Entertainment so we anticipate more confirmed stops very soon” Rasheed explained

Shifta has never left his home, Jamaica out of the development of his career, He premiered the video of “Do You Wanna” in Jamaica late last year and was back in the island recently performing on the popular “RJR Cross Country Road Show Tour” to promote the single.

“It’s a great feeling to return home and see the song growing. People were very receptive to the performances on the tour as well, at numerous times singing along to it,” Shifta shared.

Shifta is also preparing a remix for the single and intends to return to Jamaica once it is completed. “We have an International Recording Artiste in mind for the remix, we are in final negotiations with this artiste now but its 99% confirmed. You definitely can look forward to another video along with a great EP”.”Shifta added

The Official Video for ‘Do You Wanna’ can be viewed online on YouTube and has received over One Million views already, Shifta is also gearing up to shoot a video for the second single from the upcoming EP.
