Producer Shane Brown Joins Tarrus Riley's Team

Just days after popular producer Shane Brown was dropped by dancehall and reggae music artiste Busy Signal, he has teamed up with popular reggae crooner Tarrus Riley.

Brown will now co-manage Riley alongside fellow manager and renowned saxophonist, Dean Fraser. The arrangement was announced on Wednesday.

“Him invite Shane fi come and be a part of managing Tarrus Riley,” Riley told IRIE FM Wednesday. “Mi trust Shane, mi confide in Shane work skills and me and Shane are no strangers. Is like a family kind of vibes, is not strange. Mi really excited.”

Riley and Brown have enjoyed success together before as they teamed for Riley’s hit single, Start Anew in 2009. They also joined forces for Riley’s debut album, Challenges in 2008.

In addition to his partnership with Riley and Fraser, Brown also co-manages former Digicel Rising Stars winner and revered Reggae musician, Romain Virgo alongside Vikings Productions.

Like many in the Jamaican music scene, Brown was stunned after Busy Signal broke the news to him late last month that their manager-client relationship would cease after nearly six years together. Busy is now being managed by his brothers as the singjay aims to take more control over his career.
