Dancehall artiste Sagitarr On the Rise with some Powerful Reggae Music

Clarendon-based recording artiste Sagitarr has seemingly caught his big break after a video of him singing a tribute to the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, went viral.

Although originally released in early July, the song has re-surfaced with a bang following Bolt's win in the 100m at the World Championships on Sunday.

Since then, the song has been making the rounds on social media. The song got so much attention that it even caught the eyes and ears of Bolt himself, who also shared the video on his Facebook page. Bolt's post also went viral.

On Monday, Bolt uploaded the video to his Facebook page with a caption beckoning producers to get in touch with the artiste, boldly stating that he would cover the cost of getting the track produced. The caption read, "Jamaican producers link up. Put Sagitarr on a track right now and me cover the bill." It also had the hashtags #kickout and #JamaicansMostTalented. There was also a significant surge in the number of views the song received on YouTube between Sunday morning and when Bolt made the post on Monday. Several YouTube users commented that Bolt was the reason they came to know the song, as they posted: 'Bolt brought me here' under the track.

The man behind the song, Sagitarr, is overwhelmed by the increased attention he has been getting over the last few days. In an interview with The Gleaner, the artiste said that it was a glorious feeling to see the positive reaction to his song. "I am overwhelmed," he said. "It is a great feeling to see people sharing and liking the song." When asked about how he felt when he saw Bolt himself sharing the song, the artiste said the feeling was indescribable. "We are talking about Usain Bolt. He's the greatest athlete of all time, a celebrity; and to see him sharing the video was overwhelming. I am very happy." He also said that even though Bolt was the inspiration behind the song, he (Bolt) didn't have to like it, much more to repost it. "I didn't see it myself, innu. Some people saw it and told me about it, and say, 'Sagitarr, yuh song a shot,'" he explained. "Thumbs up to Bolt because he didn't have to like it or repost it. So I'm very grateful".

Already has a producer

Sagitarr, who hails from Clarendon, also wanted to make it clear that the song already had a producer, and as soon as he and his team are able to, they will try and get in touch with Bolt.

"Since Bolt made the post, there have been a lot of calls from producers who want to work with me on the song, but Moby's Records are already the producers," he said. "They were there before Bolt made the post, and we won't be moving it (the song)". CEO of Moby's Records Ryan Singh told The Gleaner that he was happy for Sagitarr, and that he was looking forward to speaking with Bolt sometime in the near future. "Sagitarr and I are both from Clarendon, so it is a great thing not only for him, but for all of us in the parish. It is a big achievement, and as soon as we can, we will be in touch with Bolt, because I'm sure he's unaware that the song already has a producer".

Following everything that has transpired over the last few days, Sagitarr says he is looking forward to what the future holds and is anticipating meeting Bolt in person one day.
