Reh Dogg - Video producer and recording artiste

Born Ra’ Sean Y Blyden (St. Thomas Virgin Islands) Reh Dogg grew up in the country hills of Anna’s Retreat

Reh's long time friend Denver Davis helped groom him to the lyrical machine that he has become. Known for controversial songs he never backs down. Growing up some of his favorite artists he looked up to are Ninja man,Yellowman, Mad Cobra, & Tiger. He model his style after these artist until he developed a style of his own.

In the Virgin Islands our culture of music is Calypso but many of us love reggae. He moved to Hartford CT and created his first music video (It’s a known fact) in New York City. The music studio (JAXSN Music) had Jamaican clients listen to his music and the feedback was negative. in the virgin Islands we sing dancehall reggae but use our diction which is different than that of Jamaican diction. This really discourage him so he took some time off to rediscover himself.

2 years later (1999) he decided to change the genre of music to Rap. This was a very huge risk because he had never done this type of music before. The internet was a huge help. This was in the mp3 era. he created his artist mp3 site on MP3.com, musicbuilder.com, and soundclick.com. Soundclick really helped shape and develop his style. He would get into rap battles. You have to be quick on your feet to survive battles when you have several artist coming at you.

2006 he had a friend Kyamm Baig who was a great photographer. He tried to create music videos for him but the video and music were out of sync. He decided to teach himself how to create music videos. Not knowing anything about Youtube he posted his first self made music video (Desperate times need Asian woman) on the website. Going through a difficult relationship with then girlfriend Tammie Starr and mentor Jose Torres really put him over the edge.

He created his second music video “why must I cry”. One day he came home and saw thousands of comments about his video. He was amazed and shocked.

After hitting over one million views several TV broadcast and internet broacast stations called him. He appeared on BET,MTV,Comedy Central,UK Channel 4 just to name a few. Tosh.O really helped boost his career by remaking his music video. Some of his best reggae songs are I’m too bold, Blacken Chinese man,Call out mi name, and Join me and fight.

He has become really good at creating music videos. He now create them for other unsigned artists through his Entertainment company website.
