Reggae singer Denyque set to release new EP, drops video for 'Make Me Believe You'
Popular Jamaican songstress, Denyque is seeking to stamp her authority on the local and international music scene as she is set to release a new EP within the new few weeks as she rides the strong waves produced by her single, Make Me Believe You.
The versatile singer, who burst onto the scene in 2009 with her hit single, Can’t Breathe has collaborated with a number of top producers for the EP which will feature a number of Reggae and pop infused tracks.
"We are working on getting singles out to set the foundation for the EP,” Denyque told the Jamaica Gleaner in an interview published Tuesday. “Stephen McGregor, Christopher Birch, and Ricky Blaze all lent their talent to this project, so it's definitely going to be amazing, and I can't wait to share it with my fans.”
The EP is a follow up to her I Am Supergirl mixtape, which premiered last year and featured many of her hits including When We Touch, I Can Do Better and Supergirl while featuring artists such as Konshens, Keida and Craig from Voicemail as well as production from Don Corleon, Romeich Records and many more.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Denyque unveiled the official video for her hit single, Make Me Believe You which was produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor. This sultry single and its accompanying visuals have already attracted positive feedback, according to the artist.
"The video was directed by RD Studios and it's only a few days old and it is really doing well,” she said. “This song is a testament to my musical growth, and I'm very pleased with the direction my career is going. Right now, I'm focusing on building a bigger brand.”
Denyque is also promoting her new swimsuit line, WetSwim which she launched in July and will be expanding in the near future as she seeks to test her entrepreneurial skills.
