Dancehall Reggae singer Shinehead. He was born in Kent, England on April 10, 1962. His real name is Edmund Carl Aiken.
This dancehall reggae singer started his music career performing on sound systems in the 1980s in New York.
His first recording was "Who the Cap Fit" which was released in 1986. It was also featured on his debut album "Rough and Rugged" which was released in 1986.
At almost every retro (oldies) parties/sessions you certain to hear some of Shinehead's hit songs.
Tracks such as "Jamaican in New York, Try My Love, Strive and Good Love which is regarded as a reggae love song and a favorite of almost all reggae and dancehall music lover.
He has released five (5) albums 1. Rough and Rugged (1986) 2. Unity (1988) 3. The Real Rock (1990) 4. Sidewalk University (1992) 5. Troddin (1994)
Over the years he has performed at venues all over the world. He is very popular in Jamaica, Japan and London.
