Reggae Artist Forced to Perform Without Work Permit In US
Reggae artiste Chronixx forced to Perform Without work permit in order to repay a promoter for advanced payment received for a prior event which he was booked for but also had no work permit.
Information reaching us here at dancehall reggae world is that Chronixx doesn't have a work permit but he does have a regular visitor visa to the United States.
Chronixx and The Zinc Fence Family are scheduled to perform on August 17th at the very prestigious SOB Lounge; The SOB Lounge is well known for the catering of high quality live music.
Promotions for this event are very low keyed and are only being done exclusively online and word of mouth, no other form of advertisements are being used because he does not have a work permit and the promoter is afraid of getting into trouble with law enforcers.
Earlier this year Chronixx was booked and received advance payment for two shows in the United States. He was booked for this same venue (SOB Lounge) in New York and a show in Virginia for Big Mills Productions. Chronixx was unable perform because he failed to obtain a work permit from the US Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica.
