RDX Introduces Road Elf & Takes The Ladies On A 'Head Top Mission'

Synopsis: Reigning Dancehall Duo, RDX introduces new artist Road Elf as they release a dancers oriented single "Head Top".

(February 6th, 2014) - While “Sexy Touch” still tantalizes our eyes and rings in our ears, givingRDX fans a surprising launch to the productive New Year, the lively duo continues to carve new steps into their commanding musical quest while showcasing their talented diversity. Landing into 2014 advocating for ladies to give a sultry “Sexy Touch” instead of a rambunctious “Jump”,RDX is now dominating the pack with a request that has marveled the walls of Dancehalls for years.
Ladies . . . can you HEAD TOP?

Armed with a hot new track that’s spawning hashtags, photo/video submissions, and contest at local area parties, RDX while simultaneously introducing artist Road Elf, calls for revitalization in the skilled art of the “Head Top”. That’s not to say “head topping” has gone anywhere, but with the rise of “free for all” trends, RDX manages to create an opportunity to showcase new talent while supporting a healthy creativity to which Dancehall culture thrives on.

While every girl can whine, not every girl can “head top”. The dance itself requires one to balance on their head, a feat not easily reached by many. Once a dancer has achieved the skill, one must highlight her own artistry by incorporating signature moves into the general “head top” dance. From Jamaica to the streets of Russia, this unique bauble of Dancehall has peaked fascination for years.
Introducing Road Elf

Now RDX not only gives the dance a backbone, the enterprising team, acquaints the Dancehallfraternity with rising DJ, Road Elf. With their solid history of musical uniqueness, RDX has notably introduced Bermuda Kid, DnG, Chiney and Checkaz Dancers, most recently showcasing DHQ Sher and Anika Headtop. As RDX explores diversity with their music, they expand their talented outreach by taking Road Elf under wing.
Road Elf & RDX

“Road Elf is a talented songwriter and is hungry to learn and develop. RDX after years of working and gaining experience, we have the opportunity to help insure that Dancehall continues to thrive, what better way than to pass our knowledge on. And this is just the beginning, it’s so much more we plan to unearth as 2014 continues.”

Road Elf, a name acquired by his constant street presence coupled with a laugh to his height, has been soaking up the livelihood ofDancehall over the last few years determined to bring a raw creative energy to Dancehall. Absorbing the scenes and guidance from his“musical big brothers” RDX, Road Elf tested waters with single “Naah Lef”, but is ready to now announce himself with the “Head Top”collaboration.

“From ever since, I’ve gone a road, to any authentic Dancehall party, I remember girls attempting and executing being on their head top. As simple as you may see it, as long as you known about it, it was just time to officially give the girls who pride themselves with that skill, a song for themselves. RDX and Road Elf came together and delivering in the way we know how”

That way, is the formidable new single "Head Top" inspired by the dancers and produced by the reigning dancing specialist, RDX and Apt 19 Music.

As RDX is currently prepping for a video release with Major Lazer and finishes work on their 2014 album releases, "Soul Poetry" for Reggae lovers and "Bangers" for Dancehall fanatics, they lend a strong hand to upcoming artist Road Elf, as they all etch their names into dancing legendary with the vibrant single “Head Top”.

"Head Top" can be heard bouncing off the walls of your local hot spot or previewed now onSoundCloud and will be available for digital download (distributed by 21st Hapilos) on February 18th.
