Pucka Kayuba - Reggae music artiste, songwriter and producer

Reggae music artiste Pucka Kayuba was born in Annotto Bay, St.Mary but later migrated to Kingston, Jamaica at the age 16.

He attended the Jamaica School of Music and studied Music Theory at the University of West Indies.

He's only a reggae music singer as he has written and produced several songs for local groups and individuals in Jamaica.

His third album titled "Peace & Love", which feature powerful music in the tradition of the great reggae of Kingston, Jamaica, was released for U.S. label Loud Dust Recordings of Burlington, Vermont.

In 2012 he released his fourth studio album titled "World Chaos", the album took three years of hard work to complete. He said that mainstream radio is not receptive to his type of music.

World Chaos is the follow-up to Peace And Love, another message-strong album Pucka released in 2003. His debut album, Impulse, came out in 1994 followed by Mission in 1998

Pucka (real name Barry Liston) is used to the flat-foot hustling journeyman musicians must do to get their product heard. For World Chaos, Pucka called on some of reggae's top musicians to help him make the breakthrough.

They include drummer Sly Dunbar, guitarists Wayne Armond, Dalton Browne, Dwight Pinkney and Winston 'Bo Pee' Bowen and keyboardist Dennis 'Jah D' Fearon.

Kayuba recorded his first song "I Can't Let You Go" in the early 1980s for Aquarius Records. Influenced by Reggae singers such as Alton Ellis, Delroy Wilson and the Crown Prince of Reggae Dennis Brown.
