Please help with this song name and artist, Please!

I think it's from the early to mid 1980's. Smooth reggae. Some words may be wrong.
It goes:
Ready for stepping out, in round about ways. Don't want to be too early, Don't want to be too late. Doesn't matter what you wear, Don't matter what you got. Don't miss out on your chance to dance cuz the party is real hot? (The hook) We need it smokin', stokin' and smokin'. Man I'm not jokin'. And then the party is right(nice?) all right(night)
